PETER TOSH RE-ISSUE
Alongside the acclaimed archive releases from JAD Records, Peter Tosh fans can now look forward to the Steppin' Razor's studio albums receiving a make over.
First up in the new campaign is Peter's first concert album Captured Live, originally released in 1984. Recorded live at the Greek Theatre, LA, the original 7 track album has been expanded to a 2 CD set to acomodate the entire show:

Roger Steffens is currently working on revamped versions of Bush Doctor, Mystic Man and Wanted although details of extra tracks are not yet available.
We have just received the proposed track listing of Island's deluxe edition of Bob and the Wailers greatest hits album Legend.
Expanded to a 2 CD set for release on February 11th, the first disc follows the original track selection but also includes the bonus Punky Reggae Party from 1977 and 1978's Easy Skanking (both appeared on the original cassette version). The second disc will feature an array of remixes and extended versions:

As you can see, there are a 2 versions of Jammin', presumabley the 1977 12" version and the 1984 remix, 2 c uts of Waiting In Vain and the set is top and tailed by 2 mixes of One Love/People Get Ready - the dub version appearing on CD for the first time.
It's possible that Three Little Birds is actually the 12" mix and
not the dub version, but we are somewhat surprised by the inclusion of Lively Up
Yourself, which never appeared on any of the Legend re-issue singles at the

NEW WAILERS TROJAN COMPILATION
Trojan Records have added yet another Bob Marley & the Wailers title to their seemingly endless list of compilations.
The new collection, titled Trenchtown Rock, is part of their recently instigated Anthology series and collects work from various producers, including Leslie Kong and Lee Perry, that the company have had in constant rotation for many years. In addition to the much repeated Trojan tracks are two Black Ark recordings, new to the company if not to Wailers fans.
I Know A Place and Who Colt The Game were produced by Lee Perry in 1978, and seem to have become almost public domain over the last couple of years. After appearing on Jet Star's Lost Treasures Of The Ark CD set and a couple of Australian singles, both tracks appeared on the recent Island limited edition One Love - The Best Of Bob Marley & The Wailers (albeit with I Know A Place in a modern remix).
Placing the two songs alongside late '60s and early '70s tracks would seem odd, but the transition is eased by the inclusion of earlier Black Ark cuts Rainbow Country and Natural Mystic which sit well with the latter cuts. The full track listing:
